The Gaps
The Gaps of the Vermont Gran Fondo
There are two well-known gap rides through the central Vermont region, the ‘6-Gap Ride’ and the ‘4-Gap Ride’ – aka the ‘LAMB’; Lincoln Gap, Appalachain Gap, Middlebury Gap, and Brandon Gap. The 6-Gap ride includes all the LAMB climbs but, for the ultimate Green Mountain Challenge, two more climbs, typically Roxbury Gap and Rochester Gap (aka – Bethel Gap), added to the mix will surely give you a good night’s sleep. The four climbs each year will pass over a selection from this list. Keep a close watch for the final course announcements, typically in April.
Here is a preview of all seven gaps featured throught the years, in no particular order, displayed with Strava segments.
